WHERE WE POST & HOW TO CONSUME OUR CONTENT
We have a combination of places of where we post at… and a mix of free and premium content.
The 3 main places where we post content at are on this website, on Substack for our Political, Culture and Social Commentary and on Medium.
This website will have ALL of our content… including the articles we post on Substack and on Medium and elsewhere. Some of the content on this site will be behind a “paywall” and some will be free to read. For posts on Medium, some of that will be open and you won’t need a paid membership account with Medium and other content will be behind their paywall. Content that is behind Medium’s paywall will also be behind our paywall on this site. For Substack articles, you can get a membership on Substack to get content on Substack or you can go to our Patreon, signup for a membership and get access to all of the content on this site… which will include Substack and Medium.
If you are a Patreon member, you will get exclusive content in addition to the bonuses that Patreon subscribers at the Premium level will get… also, you will have full 100% access to everything on this site! A Patreon account with a paid membership to our Patreon will bypass all of the paywalls on this site. Obviously, the Patreon membership doesn’t include a paid membership to Medium but you won’t need that to see our content that is on Medium as we also post that content on here and you will get access to it on this site!
LONG STORY SHORT:
For the most part… we post mainly on 3 platforms – Medium.com, Substack and this website.
This website will have ALL of our content (consolidated from all platforms including original content just posted on this site) and Medium will have a some of our premium content and Substack will have premium content as well… mostly articles about Politics and commentary on society & culture. We use Patreon as a way to manage access to our premium content on this site and to “reward” our Patreon supporters with additional first-look previews, short stories and exclusive content… and full access to this site.
The best and easiest way to get full access to all of our content is to get a low-cost Patreon membership to our Patreon. With that, you will get everything that we post (and more – go check out our our Patreon page to see what we include with a paid membership) – including all of the Medium posts as we duplicate everything we post on Medium, on to this website (we just put that content behind a paywall on this site). So, become a member to the “Premium Membership” on Patreon… come back here… register on this site and click the button on this site to connect your account on this site with your account on Patreon and boom… you get full access to this site and all of the content!
Why do we do this or charge for any of our content? This is one of the ways how I earn an income and it takes time to do the research, build and maintain this site, manage the various platforms and to do the actual writing. We use Medium and Substack as they both have a large userbase and helps folks discover my writing… and we have this site so I have a platform I can 100% control on how things look, I have 100% editorial control and I can present information how I want.
