Why Kamala Harris Shouldn’t Be President: A Comprehensive Critique
Do you think Kamala Harris is the right choice for President of the United States? Before you decide, let’s delve into her record and examine why her candidacy raises serious concerns.
With Joe Biden stepping out of the 2024 race, Harris has become the DNC nominee.
Here’s an in-depth look at her performance, policy missteps, and the controversies that have plagued her career.
A Disappointing Presidential Run in 2020
Kamala Harris entered the 2020 presidential race with much fanfare, but quickly faltered. Despite a strong start, her campaign struggled with a lack of clear messaging and internal discord… as well as a likeability issue.
Harris’s debate performances were inconsistent, and she faced criticism for her shifting policy positions. Financial troubles and declining poll numbers forced her to suspend her campaign in December 2019, months before the first primary. Her inability to sustain her campaign momentum raised questions about her readiness for higher office.
Even her own party dismissed her as she was unceremoniously booted out of the running. Democrats didn’t like her then… and she’s showed by her horrible performance in the last 3 years… they were right in not taking her seriously.
I find it strange, curious and dubious that suddenly… she’s the darling of the party. Based on what? Not liking Trump doesn’t make her a superstar. She was horrible before Biden was run out of town… and she is still horrible.
The reality is that the democrats… specifically the far-left are unhinged and terrified of Donald Trump so they are willing to accept just about anyone else. I find that dangerous, ignorant and almost traitorous.
Criticisms of Border Policy Management
One of the most significant criticisms of Harris has been her handling of the U.S.-Mexico border crisis. Appointed by President Biden to address the root causes of migration, Harris faced backlash for her delayed visit to the border and perceived inaction. Critics argue that her efforts, such as the Central America Forward initiative, were insufficient as illegal immigration levels surged. The Border Patrol union and lawmakers from both parties have criticized her lack of progress, with some calling for her to be replaced due to her failure to make substantial improvements. She had just one major task as the VP (the Biden administration seemingly hid her from public view and didn’t trust her so they gave her little else to do) and she failed at that.
Repeated Public Speaking Gaffes
Harris’s public speaking has often been a point of contention and mockery. She is known for repeating phrases, sometimes to the point of redundancy. Phrases like “the significance of the passage of time” and “what can be, unburdened by what has been” have been mocked widely, drawing comparisons to political satire. These instances have not only provided ammunition for her opponents but also raised concerns about her communication skills and ability to convey clear, coherent messages. Her “word salad” speeches where she says absolutely nothing are legendary now.
Internal Office Conflicts
Reports of a tumultuous working environment in Harris’s office have further marred her reputation. Described as a toxic culture with high staff turnover, her office has been plagued by dissatisfaction and internal strife. These issues point to significant management and leadership challenges, casting doubt on her ability to effectively lead and unify a larger team or country. If you can’t lead your own office… how are you going to lead the country?
Policy and Leadership Doubts
Throughout her career, Harris has taken liberal stances on key issues such as climate and energy. While these positions align with certain segments of the Democratic base, they have also faced scrutiny and opposition. Her record on handling immigration, in particular, has been a significant weak point. Furthermore, polls have shown that a substantial portion of voters, including independents, doubt her leadership abilities and trustworthiness. Her efforts to reboot her image have yielded mixed results, leaving many voters (at least informed ones) unconvinced of her readiness for the presidency.
Personal Controversies
Harris’s alleged past relationship with former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown has also been a point of contention. Brown appointed Harris to two well-paying state commissions during their relationship, leading to accusations of nepotism. The relationship continues to be used by critics to question her rise in politics and the ethical implications of her early career appointments. Willie Brown was much older and supposedly had a family at the time Harris reportedly had a relationship with the mayor.
Contradictions in Law Enforcement Stances
Despite her background as a former prosecutor, Harris’s stance on law enforcement has been inconsistent and controversial. During the 2020 protests, she voiced support for reallocating police funding and even promoted a bail fund that helped release protesters, including those charged with violent offenses. This contradictory position—supporting law enforcement while advocating for reduced police funding—has raised concerns about her commitment to public safety and her ability to balance justice with effective policing.
Lack of Executive Experience
Harris’s political career has been marked by her roles as a prosecutor, Attorney General of California, U.S. Senator, and Vice President. However, she lacks significant executive experience, having never held a position that required running a government or large organization. This gap in her resume raises concerns about her ability to handle the complexities of the presidency and manage the federal government’s vast apparatus effectively.
Inexperience in Foreign Affairs
Harris’s experience in foreign policy and international affairs is limited. While she has represented the U.S. at various international events and summits, critics argue that her exposure is insufficient compared to other potential candidates. Her lack of a strong background in foreign affairs could pose risks in navigating complex global issues and maintaining the U.S.’s standing on the world stage.
Far-Left Policy Views
Harris’s policy positions are often viewed as far-left, putting her at odds with mainstream American values. Her support for progressive policies on climate change, criminal justice reform, and healthcare has garnered support from the left but alienated moderates and independents. Critics argue that her policy views are too radical and could steer the country away from centrist and pragmatic solutions to pressing issues.
Few Options
The DNC was in a tough spot… after telling the public that Biden was good to go for the last 4 years… they suddenly had to give him the “pink slip” and essentially handpick their next candidate… which rings a bit dictator-like as the citizens should be more involved in the process of such magnitude.
They couldn’t just look past Kamala because then they would be called racist, sexist, etc. They all know that she is not a good choice but they had few options at this time.
Any one of any type of caliber wouldn’t want to be cannon fodder for Trump to dismantle… as the risk would be too high to step into the breach and take one for the team… so most of their A-Team (if they have any)… will just eye the 2028 elections and let this cycle pass. There was no way someone like Gavin Newsom, the governor of California would jump on this “grenade.”
Lets keep it completely “real” – Kamala Harris was an identity politics affirmative action “hire” back in 2020. She was put in the Vice President spot because she is a woman of color. If it wasn’t for Covid and the George Floyd incident… and a few other shady things… Biden wouldn’t be in office to begin with. It took a wacky set of events to get things to this point.
Kamala Harris and her track record raises serious concerns about her suitability for the presidency. From her faltering 2020 campaign and handling of the border crisis to her public speaking gaffes, internal office conflicts, lack of executive experience, and far-left policy views, Harris has faced numerous challenges that call into question her readiness to lead the nation. As voters evaluate their options for the 2024 election, it is crucial to consider these factors and what they mean for the future of the United States.
So… what now?
What Trump voters cannot do is make the assumption that Donald will have an easy path to victory… he may not.
Remember… it’s 2024… our country is now filled with a ton of morons.
Don’t assume that Trump’s victory is assured.
Just one bad weekend or month for Trump… with a good one by Harris… and with the media’s help… Kamala Harris could swing the polls and her narrative in no time flat.
Remember that these days… lies travel much faster than the truth does.
The Democrats are much more organized than the Republicans… and have social media and the “mainstream media” on their side. They have a bigger “machine” to work for them. Also, a lot of the voting districts have been seemingly rigged and lined up to help the Democrats and most of the large cities in the US tend to vote for Liberals. The deck is already stacked for a Democrat.
People should vote on what is best for the country… they should vote on policy stances and things of that nature but these days… they don’t.
A lot of people want to vote for a woman… a lot of people want to vote for a person of color… a lot of people want to vote against Trump… the media (and big-tech) wants to help those people vote for a Democrat.
We just saw in the last election cycle… a mentally compromised human named Joe Biden get elected and somehow accumulated the most votes in the history of Presidential elections… despite not really campaigning, being hidden for most of the election cycle, having weak policies that he couldn’t articulate well, has a less than stellar performance level for the nearly 50 years that he has been in politics, has some dubious things in his past (including saying some dopey racial comments as well), was almost 80 years of age at the time (and showed it) and not super well-liked.
How he got more votes than the well-liked and charismatic Barry Obama is a question for the ages.
Also, some other key things that helped sleepy Joe Biden “win” the election in 2020 is that the liberal tech companies (and the media and others) push the Hunter Biden clown show under the rug and got other shady stuff suppressed… and Covid and George Floyd were wrongly thrown around the neck of Trump. Who knows how many jacked up votes there were because of all of the confusion due to Covid, mail-in ballots, etc. I do think that the election was compromised in many ways in 2020.
So… anything can happen. Too many people vote emotionally… too many people have the facts eluding them… now is not the time to relax. If you put this nation first… then we gotta all get out and vote for Trump.
Look, I voted for Trump in 2016… and in 2020… but I must say that in a country of 335 million people – it’s kind of sad that these are only options. To be honest and not a “homer” for Donald… Trump has some issues… his age for one… and the fact he is so polarizing… and often “punches-down” – I wonder how much will he be able to get done as those on the left try to sabotage him and bog him down.
I don’t want to sound hyperbolic but this may be one of the most important elections that we have seen in the last 100 years.
